SKWC Adds Two-Time All-American Elam as Resident Athlete

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The SKWC announced the addition of two-time All-American Zach Elam as its newest resident athlete. A two-time All-American heavyweight at Missouri, Elam enjoyed a standout career with the Tigers from 2018-24.


A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Elam finished his scholastic career with 107 victories, finishing his tenure with the Tigers as a five-time NCAA qualifier (2019, 2021-22, 2023-24). Elam posted back-to-back All-America finishes in 2023 and 2024, which included a fourth-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Wrestling Championships in his hometown of Kansas City.


During his time at Missouri, Elam was a 2023 Southern Scuffle Champion, a two-time Tiger Style Invite Champion, a three-time Academic All-Big 12 selection and the programs team MVP in 2024. During his final collegiate season in 2023-24, Elam finished with a career-high 30 wins en route to All-America laurels.


A three-time Class 4 Missouri State Champion and four-time finalist, Elam was a Junior Freestyle National champion in 2017 and won a silver medal at the 2018 Junior World Championships, after joining Team USA as an alternate.
