GENEVA, Ohio – Incoming freshman Brandt Harer worked a runner-up finish at 70kg to highlight action for Rutgers wrestling at the 2026 U23 Freestyle Nationals, held over the weekend at SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio. Harer and redshirt sophomore Ryan Ford (79kg) both placed at the freestyle tournament, with Ford earning and eighth-place finish in his weight class. Knox Runner-Up at World Team Trials
Rutgers wrestling signee Anthony Knox continued his successful freestyle circuit, finishing second at the 2026 Senior World Team Trials Challenge on Friday in Louisville, Kentucky. Knox wrestled to the title match at 57kg before losing to three-time NCAA champion and Olympic silver medalist Spencer Lee in the finals. As the No. 2 seed, Knox defeated 2026 Pan American champion and NCAA All-American Liam Cronin, 11-0, in the semifinals of the championship bracket on Thursday. K

Labriola Wins Silver at Pan Ams
CORALVILLE, Iowa. – Resident athlete Mikey Labriola secured a silver medal at the 2026 Senior Pan American Championships on Sunday in Coralville, Iowa. Representing Team Puerto Rico, Labriola wrestled to a second-place finish at 79kg. Labriola will represent Team Puerto Rico later this year at the World Championships in Bahrain.
